Are Dentists Board Certified?

Dentists, similar to our Maple Grove dentist, are board certified through dentistry boards, similarly to how doctors are certified through medical boards. After schooling, dental students pick a speciality to be board certified in. Specialities include dental public health, endodontics, oral and maxillofacial pathology or surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and prosthodontics. Once approved by the ADA, American Dental Association, the student is board certified in their dentistry field.
